About Onetest Racing

Onetest is not only in the business of building winning teams...we have our very own tarmac rally team!

What’s tarmac rallying you ask? Usually a 4 to 6 day event, run over closed public roads, with a wide variety of exotic cars in various classes, with around 8 to 9 timed stages each day where you are required to complete all stages within a given time to be rewarded with a nice trophy.

Of course there are class winners who receive the big trophies but there are no sheep stations up for grabs!

Our 2003 Porsche 996TT is always in the top “modern” class and we compete against the likes of Jim Richards, Neil Bates, Tony Longhurst and Grant Denyer to drop just a few names. As you can see, these are professional drivers and some full time racers and we always look to finish in one piece but, we probably won’t ever be in the top few.

Onetest Chairman David Dahl prepares and drives our car with navigator Mike Gascoigne, a long time friend and retired vet. We had our first competitive outing at Mt Buller in November 2006.

We plan to do a series of Tarmac Rallies each year including Rally Tasmania out of Burnie, Targa Tasmania, SunCoast Classic Rally out of Noosa, the Quit Targa West out of Peth and of course the challenging Mt Buller Sprints in Victoria.

Racing for a good cause, Onetest raises funds and provides rides for disabled and disadvantaged kids and in particular, provides much needed support to Aussie Kidz Charity which was established by David and friend Ross Tisch in 2000.

Aussie Kidz Charity has raised over half a million dollars to date, providing much needed equipment and services to more than 200 disabled and disadvantaged children. To make a donation, please visit http://www.aussiekidzcharity.org.au/.
